Garbage and Fee-based Recycling
Use the paid drop-off area for fee-based waste and sharps/needle disposal. Free electronics recycling must check in at the pay station first.
Payment
Visa, MasterCard, cash, check (with valid ID) or business account. Make checks payable to "KCPW" and include driver's license and phone number.
Driver is responsible for payment. Pay an Olympic View Transfer Station bill.
Maximum load length for residential drop off is 32' with tailgate down. There is no room for larger loads to safely turn around. Customers with dump trucks or trailers must bring and wear hard hat and high-visibility vest. Operated by Waste Management.
Recycling
Items accepted for free in the recycle yard include clothing, cardboard, scrap metal, and
mixed glass, cans, paper and plastics. Fee-based items (such as tires and appliances) and free electronics recycling must go through paid area.
Limited Household Hazardous Waste
Sharps Check in at the paid drop-off area with sharps. Residents are not charged a fee but must report to employee at the pay booth. Other hazardous items
ONLY Antifreeze, motor oil, and small household batteries are accepted in the recycling yard. Nearby Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility accepts other items.

Creosote-Treated Lumber Residents can bring small truck beds of creosote lumber without a waste profile. Cut the lumber into 4 foot lengths. Lumber over 8 feet may be charged the bulky waste rate.

Once you receive an approved waste profile from WM, you may dispose of waste during operating hours. You must provide a copy of the waste profile approval for each load of waste upon arrival.
