The KCSO Online Reporting system allows you to submit a report immediately to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.  


Please read the guidelines below for using the KCSO Online Reporting system.

Step 1

Before beginning your report...

Did the incident you are reporting occur in unincorporated Kitsap County?

If you are unsure, click HERE to verify that the address where the incident occurred is in KCSO jurisdiction.  

If not, please file your report with the appropriate agency.

Step 2

​The following types of reports CANNOT be handled appropriately using the Online Report system.
Please call 9-1-1 and ask for a deputy to contact you.

  • Incidents where a suspect or suspect's vehicle is known.
  • Incidents where there is evidence to be collected by a deputy.
  • Incidents that involve a firearm (either used by a suspect or taken in a theft).
  • Incidents involving the theft of any motor vehicle, licensed trailer, boat, or any vehicle that has a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Step 3

​You CAN report the following incidents online:
  • Harassing Phone Calls 
  • Hit and Run     
  • Identity Theft
  • Information Only
  • Lost Property 
  • Mail or Package Thefts
  • Thefts   
  • Thefts from Vehicle    
  • Traffic Complaints
  • Vandalism

Step 4

Note: All cases filed through the online reporting system receive a temporary number beginning with CSP. The report will be reviewed by Kitsap County Sheriff's Office personnel and will be either approved, returned, or rejected.

If approved: A case number will be sent to you via email.

If returned: You will receive an email with instructions on additional information needed.

If rejected: You will receive information about why and how to proceed.

A person commits false reporting if, with the knowledge that the information reported, conveyed, or circulated is false, he or she initiates or circulates a false report or warning of an alleged occurrence or impending occurrence knowing that such false report is likely to cause: Evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or transportation facility; public inconvenience or alarm; or an emergency response.

​What do I do if online incident reporting is not right for me?
If this is an emergency, call 9-1-1.  For non-emergency law enforcement assistance, please call (360) 337-7101.  Dispatchers will prioritize your call and forward it to the best response unit.

What if this happened in another city?  Can I file a report using this online police citizen reporting system?
You will need to contact the correct jurisdiction where the crime occurred.  No, you cannot file the crime report through this site.

What if this happened on a state freeway, highway, or route?
If this happened on a state highway, freeway, or state-owned property, call the Washington State Patrol at (360) 473-0300.
