KITSAP COUNTY VOLUNTEER SERVICES

The Board of County Commissioners has officially proclaimed April 20–26, 2025, as Kitsap County Volunteer Appreciation Week, recognizing the remarkable contributions of nearly 7,000 volunteers who generously give their time, talent, and voices to support county programs and services each year.

Learn about the impact of volunteers on Kitsap County departments:

In 2024 alone, volunteers contributed an incredible 150,000 hours across a wide range of departments and initiatives—supporting residents, protecting and improving natural environments, and building stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

Kitsap County's observance aligns with National Volunteer Week, and we are proud to join in celebrating the impact, dedication, and transformative power of volunteerism.

We are deeply grateful for our volunteers' selfless generosity and unwavering commitment. Their efforts make Kitsap County a better place to live, work, and play.

Thank you, volunteers! You help our communities thrive.
