New Victim Portal Available
The Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is excited to announce deployment of a new Victim Portal exclusively for crime victims. This is an efficient and user-friendly platform that empowers victims by providing direct access to case information, enhances communication and allows victims to more easily participate and stay informed throughout the legal process.
The portal allows victims to receive immediate notification of new courts dates in their case and confirm their attendance at court hearings. Victims can complete victim impact statements and restitution estimates directly from their mobile device.
The Victim Portal will go-live in early summer. Our dedicated legal staff will be reaching out by phone or mail to current crime victims with information on signing up for the portal. However, victims in current cases are more than welcome to reach out after July 13, 2026 to our Victim Services Team at 360-337-7174 or at kcpa@kitsap.gov to get signed up.

Notification
of Prisoner Releases due to COVID-19
With the announcement from Governor Inslee about the imminent release of hundreds of prison inmates in an effort to protect the prisoners from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the advisement that victims involved in these cases may not be notified in advance, we wanted to provide the community with resources that are available to provide some amount of notification.
If you wish to be notified of an offender's release from Jail, please sign up for VINELINK. You will be notified automatically within 15 minutes of the offender's release. This program is anonymous, and you can get to the website 2 ways – www.vinelink.com or go to the jail roster, and click the offender you want to register to be notified about - https://www.kitsapgov.com/sheriff/Pages/InCustody.aspx
If you wish to be notified of an offender's release from Prison, there are a couple of ways to be notified.
VINELINK (www.vinelink.com) also has an option to notify when an offender is being released from prison, although it is not as immediate as when they are released from jail.
You can sign up for notification through the DOC Victim Notification Program. WWW.DOC.WA.GOV/VICTIMS
You may be able to contact them directly at 1-800-322-2201, victimservices@doc1.wa
If the prisoner was eligible for a "parole hearing", you may be able to receive information from the ISRB (Indeterminate Sentence Review Board). You may be able to contact them at www.doc.wa.gov/corrections/isrb, (866) 948-9266, or (360) 407-2408
Local groups are also available to assist with advocacy and safety planning:
Crime Victims Assistance Center (Assistance with every crime type except sexual assault and domestic violence) – (360) 874-8270
YWCA (Assistance with Domestic Violence Issues) – 24 hour crisis line 1-800-500-5513; legal services (360) 479-0491; Shelter (360) 479-5118
KSAC (Sexual Assault Center) – 24 hour crisis line (360) 479-8599; Office (360) 479-1788
If you are still running into roadblocks, you may always contact our Victim/Witness Unit at the Prosecutor's Office and we will work diligently to find out the answer. You can reach us at (360) 337-7174, or at kcpa@co.kitsap.wa.us
