Program Overview

Kitsap County is proud of its citizens who have served our country. The county is dedicated to providing information and assistance to our veterans who are residents, especially those in need. Kitsap County Veterans Assistance program works cooperatively with the Veterans Advisory Board to host events, offer services, and create opportunities to get involved and support local Veterans and their families in need.

Veterans Emergency Assistance

Kitsap County Department of Human Services administers the Veterans Assistance Fund (formally known as the Soldiers and Sailors or Relief Fund) for veterans in need. The money comes from a small portion of property taxes and is dedicated to providing assistance to veterans and their families. If you need assistance, please select a link below to get started. Learn more about the types of assistance available through the Veterans Fund here.
