Park Rules & FAQs
Restrooms: The restroom located by the skate park will be open year round. The restroom located by the playground will be closed annually for the winter season from October 1st through March 31st. Please plan accordingly when planning to visit a Kitsap County Park
during the winter season. For planning documents, please visit our County Parks Planning Page. Field Closure Notice
The athletic fields at South Kitsap Regional Park are currently closed for maintenance as our staff actively treats the turf for Chafer Beetle infestation. Chafer Beetles are an invasive pest that can cause significant damage to turfgrass. Their larvae feed on grassroots, weakening the sod and making the surface uneven, patchy, and unsafe for athletic use. In addition to turf deterioration, these infestations often attract birds and other animals that dig into the fields in search of larvae, further compromising field conditions. We understand how important these spaces are to our community, and we are working diligently to restore the fields for improved play and safety. Thank you for your patience as we address this issue and work toward healthier, more durable park fields.
