Kitsap County Parks continue to modify operations in response to State and Federal guidelines on public park use and to address projected budget reductions.
* All exterior restrooms are being sanitized daily and are now open during normal park hours.
* Horseshoe Lake County Park will open Saturday, May 23, and will be open daily through Labor Day, September 7.
* Off-leash dog parks located at Howe Farm, Bandix, and Silverdale Gateway Park will open Saturday, May 30.
Visitors are advised to plan visits in advance as playgrounds, athletic fields, sports courts, and water fountains will remain closed.
For those enjoying any one of the county systems 73 parks, people are asked to continue following safe social distancing guidelines and protocols to promote safe and respectful use of the parks. Keep six feet between you and anyone who doesn't live with you. Bring gloves and facemasks to maintain safety and social distancing. Leave at least one parking space between vehicles and boat trailers and only launch one boat at a time.
Stay Close to Home
Recreate within your home county and community. This is not the time to travel long distances to recreate. Use the park closest to your home (if you can walk there, please do so). Understand that some people do not have the ability to walk to their local park, so please leave parking stalls for them.
Be Prepared
Public restroom facilities and drinking fountains will be closed at all Kitsap County Parks. Sani-cans will be available in most Kitsap County Parks.

Save your visit to a Kitsap County Park for another day.
WHEN YOU GET THERE
Limit Stays
Try and limit your visit to two hours or less and avoid using the park during peak hours of the day. If your chosen park is crowded, go elsewhere or come back another time.
Practice Physical Distancing
Keep six feet between you and anyone who doesn't live with you. Do not let pets interact with people or other animals outside of the household. Leave at least one parking space between vehicles and boat trailers and only launch one boat at a time.
Wear A Mask and Practice Good Hygiene
Keep your hands clean and avoid touching any high traffic surfaces (railings, handles, picnic tables, playgrounds). When you must be in close contact with others, wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
Leave No Trace
Always pack out what you pack in, including gloves and masks.
