Our Program

Empowering residents with developmental disabilities to contribute their unique talents and perspectives to our community workforce, creating pathways for meaningful employment that enrich both employees' lives and county operations.

The Supported Employment Program matches qualified candidates with developmental disabilities to county department needs, providing individualized support to ensure success for both employees and departments.

What the program offers:

  • Individualized job coaching and ongoing support tailored to each participant
  • Meaningful work opportunities across various county departments
  • Skills development in job-specific abilities, self-advocacy, and workplace communication
  • Inclusive workplace integration with dedicated support systems
  • Career pathway development with opportunities for growth and advancement

Types of Work Available:

  • Office Support: Photocopying, mail preparation, document scanning, supply management
  • Facilities Maintenance: Light cleaning, building maintenance, recycling preparation
  • Parks Services: Facility checks, campsite maintenance, litter cleanup
  • Fleet Support: Vehicle cleaning, tool maintenance, equipment care


Who is eligible?

Program Participants Must Be:

  • Current clients of the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services Developmental Disabilities Administration
  • Working with an approved employment agency
  • Individuals with developmental disabilities seeking meaningful employment opportunities
