Kitsap County Annual Financial Reports
Each year, Kitsap County prepares an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ACFR provides a detailed and audited view of the County's financial position and results of operations for the previous fiscal year. The audit is conducted annually by the Washington State Auditor's Office.
To make this information more accessible, we also publish a Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR)—a user-friendly summary of the ACFR designed to help residents better understand the County's finances. Readers are encouraged to refer to the ACFR for complete and detailed financial information.
Kitsap County is proud to be recognized for excellence in financial reporting, earning the ACFR Award every year since 1997 and the PAFR Award every year since 2012. These honors reflect our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in serving our community.
