As Kitsap County Auditor, Paul Andrews oversees elections in Kitsap County, as well as document recording, payroll for the county and other government agencies, county finances and the county’s licensing sub-agency.
Paul is President of the Washington State Association of County Auditors. The statewide organization collaborates to oversee and write legislative and administrative proposals designed to improve each Washington resident's experience within the different functions of each auditor's office. He serves on the Washington State Recording Standards Commission, working to establish predictable recording fees. He also serves on the VoteWA Executive Steering Committee.
Prior to his election as Auditor, Paul spent more than 25 years as an IT professional, focusing on modernization, transparency and accessibility while safeguarding sensitive records. He has a Building Design degree and is a graduate of Leadership Kitsap.
He and his wife, Carol, are empty nesters, having raised two children in Port Orchard.
Paul and his staff focus on adding value while removing waste in the auditor's office. Accountability to you is the highest priority, and that is why he strongly enforces transparency and accessibility for the
