Legal Services

Kitsap ALTC contracts with Northwest Justice Project to provide senior legal services in Kitsap County.

This service provides legal services to county residents who are:

  • 60 years of age or older
  • in social and/or economic need and
  • in need of legal advice and/or representation on selected issues or entitlements

The problems to be addressed are:

  • income maintenance
  • health care
  • housing
  • protection against guardianship
  • consumer transactions and
  • ombudsman support.

In collaboration with the Dementia Action Collaborative, the Washington State Pro Bono Council will help Washington State residents in navigating the completion of dementia legal documents, you may be able to connect with a legal professional who will guide you through them. Attorneys can help talk through:
  • powers of attorney for finances and health care
  • health care directive
  • dementia directive form

This program serves those who are 60 and over, people living with dementia of any age, or those under 60 with a family history of dementia.
